Project
I recognized the need to rebrand our Instagram presence to enhance engagement and reach but also establish a community for our existing customers. The project focused on transforming our content and profile to resonate more effectively with our audience and translate into more sales. After gaining approval from management, I set out to create a professional and visually appealing platform that would attract new followers and drive sales. This involved developing a consistent brand identity, including updated visuals and messaging, to foster stronger connections with our audience. The rebranding effort aimed to not only improve our social media presence but also to create a lasting impression that reflects the values and offerings of our company.
Process
Not only did I redesign and give a branding identity to the social media accounts, I also switched the accounts to business accounts from the personal accounts and locked access to our page to anyone under the age of 21. I re-wrote the bio so that it addressed both of our tasting rooms as well as posting our hours and basic information and pinning it to the top of our feed for easy access. I created a Linktree account for our business to help direct traffic from our social media profiles to our website and other resources.
Research
To prepare for the redesign, I analyzed established companies on Instagram, examining how they interacted with their customers, formatted their profiles, and the types of content they prioritized. This included studying their engagement strategies and the effectiveness of their posts. Additionally, I explored various aesthetics for social media posts, including visual styles, sizes, and current trends in posting. To organize my findings, I created mood boards filled with inspiration that captured the essence of successful profiles. I also read articles that provided insights into optimal posting frequency and timing, helping me understand how to maximize engagement with our audience.
Design
In designing the new Instagram profile, I prioritized compliance with California alcohol social media laws to ensure our content adhered to legal requirements. I carefully crafted our bio and profile to restrict access to users under the age of 21, making sure we met all necessary regulations. Recognizing the growing trend of consumers making purchases through Instagram, I aimed to create a profile that was both informative and easy to navigate. To facilitate this, I added a Linktree to our bio, providing customers with multiple access points to our website and essential information.

I developed a variety of content, including posts, reels, and stories, to engage our audience effectively. Additionally, I organized our highlights to showcase the two tasting rooms the company offers, feature all of our wines, and display our most recent awards. This structured approach not only enhanced the visual appeal of our profile but also improved user experience, making it easier for customers to connect with our brand and offerings.
Impact
Since implementing the redesign, we have seen a steady increase in user interactions and followers on our social media platforms. The transition to a business profile has not only improved our brand visibility but also strengthened relationships with long-time customers. By consistently posting branded campaigns and engaging content, we have more customers interacting and are slowly creating a community to celebrate California wine. This ongoing project continues to evolve and with new Instagram updates I have adapted the template to fit better in the grid.
