I took on the challenge of redesigning an ecommerce website needing specific POS integrations for a wine storefront software called Commerce7. After working together with this winery I noticed that there were some huge opportunities on the website to better cater to customer needs and asked to redesign the website. This website is in the process of replacing their old website and I am looking forward to studying the effects of the new UI/UX. I spearheaded the rebrand and researched competitors during my sponging phase and used our established brand and logos in the first rounds of designing. Applying the design and keeping it consistent across the website was challenging as the only designer working on this project but I think my biggest obstacle in this design was the imported widgets that we needed from Commerce7 on the website. The widgets came with their own style sheets that occasionally were not displaying properly on the page and needed to be re-styled by my own style sheets to maintain a clean design. However, with their developer website and simple HTML/CSS I was able to reign in the design of the imported style sheets and am looking forward to when the final result goes live!
